For more than a decade, Shtooka Atelier has been awarded, published and praised for portrait work that begins with a concept, sometimes our own, sometimes inspired by designers, sculptors and painters.
Our artist, Paulina, gives every concept the time it deserves, and she invites you into that process. Commission the studio to create your own wall art, and we design the entire experience around you, with room to explore your creativity under careful guidance.
Truly custom, from the gown to the wall.
We design the whole photoshoot: professional hair and makeup, custom-made gowns (Paulina makes them herself, with little more than a stapler), headpieces, sets and, when your story calls for it, animal rentals.
Before you step on set, we have a beautiful concept drafted for you. Then we create your portrait, and at your in-person reveal we show you mockups of your wall art, so you receive a truly custom experience and custom products.

Design, photoshoot, reveal
The Design
Here your portrait begins to take shape. We plan your outfits, sets, headpieces and poses together, and you have full access to our extensive wardrobe, accessories and props. Paulina also creates custom, handmade gowns, designed around your concept and made by her own hands, so what you wear is truly one of a kind.
The Photoshoot
The day of full production, with hair, makeup, sets, wardrobe and refreshments. Paulina guides you pose by pose through the entire process, so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands, your face or your body. Simply relax and enjoy it.
The Reveal
We sit down together and view all of your images in person, so you can take your time before deciding on anything. Only then do we choose your favorites and plan your wall art and folio boxes, with mockups of your portraits on your own walls, so you are confident in the final result.
Your session fee includes a guided photoshoot, professional hair and makeup, a wardrobe consultation, the reveal of your images and one image.
Your included image is printed at 8×10 and matted in a museum quality 11×14 mat, and you also receive a digital copy of it.
We provide a high end experience from first consultation to final wall art, and our fees reflect that level of service and the images created.

Do I need to bring my own wardrobe?
No. We design your looks with you during your design session, and you can try on our extensive collection of wardrobe, accessories and props. Custom pieces can be made for your concept.
Where is Shtooka Atelier located?
Our studio is in San Marcos, Texas, between Austin and San Antonio, and we welcome clients throughout central Texas.
Can I see my wall art before I buy?
Yes. At your reveal we can show your portraits on your own walls virtually, so you can see the size, format and finish before you decide.
